I really want to get into some new music, maybe something along the lines of bright eyes. Or the indie genre?

In This Moment has some really good songs. They do scream in their music but in their most recent record, they started getting away from the amount of screaming and they have some awesome lyrics.

I love Bright Eyes
If you like them, try Cursive. Absolutely amazing band, and the members of it went to high school with Conor Oberst.
Desaparecidos is Conor Oberst’s older band, they’re more punk than Bright Eyes but still awesome.
Little Brazil is another band from Omaha- they’re amazing, very meaningful lyrics, and they released a new CD this year.
So check out those three
