Noel only advertises things he likes, end of. He likes Adidas, he likes Sky TV, fucking deal with it. If I was paid to talk about something I like I would fucking do it.

Two excellent legends. I like honest people ”Admitently, I was focking shitfaced”. Beautiful language.

If you’re already successful and financially secure for life the only reason you should be involved in the advertising for big businesses is so that you can take that huge amount of money which you earned for very little effort and then give it to worthy causes whereby people in hopeless situations are given as much help as possible.
Perhaps Noel does and its up to him if he would want to be public about it or not. I sincerely hope he does along with countless others.

Before he was a star. Noel was an 80’s “casual”, through and through. . And adidas was a main part of the uniform and life. . It was about branding. .
Too any Americans reading. Get schooled and watch the movie “away days”. .

@keflar5
Haha, how can anybody call Noel Gallagher a sellout when he hast changed one bit in 20 years (except for all the cocaine and that)
To me, a sell out is someone whos changes the way they are or they way they present themselves in order to recieve financial gain. All Noel seems to be doing here is talking about his band and football, he doesnt even mention any products and hes not wearing any adidas clothing.
Basically. . . youre wrong!
September 2nd, 2010 at 8:01 am
@keflar5 at last a slightly more reasoned argument, and your right I don’t know you, but if your gonna make points a publically accessable site then your gonna get judged, so deal with it or dont comment. Anyways Noel Gallagher has got the right to sell himself any way he likes cus he’s earnt his success. And he’s advertising adidas and football, 2 of his great loves. If he was selling something that was completely irrelevant to him then yes you’d be right, but unfortunately your wrong
September 2nd, 2010 at 8:03 am
@DamoC81 So the fact that I know what “people like me” means also implies that you know me too and can use it? sorry WRONG, its you who has “done yourself” in your first point, he is in the advert with Snoop Dog and David Beckham and is standing around pretending to play songs to a bunch of dancing yuppie models THAT is what he is getting paid for not talking to Ian Brown, maybe you should go watch the actual advert before you claim a win while showing your ass-peace
September 2nd, 2010 at 9:00 am
@keflar5 first of all look at your previous comment mate, your the one saying ‘just dont ask PEOPLE LIKE ME to like it or respect hom for it’, so you’ve done yourself there mate, second of all you couldnt answer the first point of my last comment so you just ignored it, so all in all mate you’ve had a bit of a mare really, don’t feel too bad though mate you gave it your best shot but just fell a bit short, maybe you’ll have better luck with someone else mate – peace
September 2nd, 2010 at 9:18 am
@DamoC81 for a start “people like me” doesn’t mean ANYTHING because you don’t know me and now you have rubbished the argument because you can’t win it, I’m passing comment because I want to. . . . . . . . erm. . . . . . . . . . . . . just like you. . . . . . . , so maybe if you don’t like what I’m saying you shouldn’t pass comment SIMPLES or at least try to defend your position better
September 2nd, 2010 at 9:57 am
@keflar5 to be fair mate it doesnt look like he’s standing there asking people like you to like it or respect him, he’s just getting paid for standing around chatting to his pals, class! I bet if he heard your comments he wouldnt give a fuck, just like when people critisise his music. and if you don’t like it then don’t watch his video’s on youtube and pass comment, just avoid trhem its not hard, you just DONT click on the video’s, Simples
September 2nd, 2010 at 10:48 am
@DamoC81 I’ve seen them live. . . . . . . TWICE and I guess SKY TV has some personal meaning for him does it? I get why you want to defend him but the fact is if you wait long enough all your heroes will stab you in the fucking back, he is a fucking sell out its THAT simple
September 2nd, 2010 at 11:05 am
@keflar5 he’s advertising something that has some relevance and personal meaning to him, it’s not lke he’s advertising hair gel! with your rationale you could say he sold out for being on Sony’s label instead of a smalled independant company. if this advert tarnishes your view on his music then your probably not even a real fan in the first place! If he continues making adverts for various companies for the rest of his life and never makes another song, then he’s a sellout, aint gonna happen
September 2nd, 2010 at 11:30 am
@DamoC81 his responsibility is to himself and his legacy your right, he has a right to do whatever the fuck he wants just dont ask people like me to like it or respect him for it, you know why they pay stars so much for one days work??? Think about it
September 2nd, 2010 at 11:57 am
@DamoC81 there is no fucking sliding scale for being a corp. spokesperson and if you think its OK to sell your voice purely for money as a supposed artist and that it doesn’t colour every other penny you have made from your words then your mistaken. Go watch Noel having a go at Radoihead for selling out and talking about how everyone says they are real and everyone is fake then come back and defend that shit
