Ok Im 15. Im extremely interested in getting into the music industry when I get out of highschool. Somethings that look interesting to me are guitar teching and sound engineering…. Is there anything I can start doing now that will set me on the right track?
I dont want to be famous! I want to be a GUITAR TECH OR A SOUND ENGINEER! And I know how to play guitar.

Do you take lessons? If not, then it’s never too soon to start. You have every ability to make it in the industry. I’m 19, and I write my own songs and record them using a MIDI keyboard and other instruments I own. I do all my own vocals, everything. You could make so much more money if you were a one-man band. You wouldn’t have to divide pay with anyone, wouldn’t have to deal with your ideas being conflicted, you’d be your own band. Definitely get a job and start saving up. a MIDI keyboard is your friend. And, do you own a PC or Mac? Macs usually come with GarageBand, a software geared toward those who are interested in just such a thing. You can replacate virtually any instrument with this software, and with an additional purchase, change your voice. Just set your sights on how you wanna go about doing it and you’ll get it done. Trust me. I been there.

Practice practice practice. Once you are good enough at guitar to teach you must also develop patients. As for the sound engineering I don’t know what you could start doing now, but when you get to college there are classes you could take.
