@Patjersey
There are several waves bundles that are designed for beginners in that they are affordable and easy to use, but essentially are handpicked plugins from waves pro line. Check out Native Power Pack for example. If you want to go deeper with learning how to use the plugins there is the Gold Certification Bundle course/book. One other option is to get an artist signature series bundle, like the Tony Maserati collection if you’re doing hip hop.

im debating on buying a waves plug in soon. Whats a good plug in bundle thats good for beginners just learning about the waves plugins? im into mixing hip hop vocals, instruments, and other effects to make my music sound clear, concise, and still have my base lines sound good.

@prepboymagic
Yes you could apply a similar setup to rap vocals, but you may might choose to compress harder, and have less reverb/delay (or a shorter delay).
August 15th, 2010 at 3:09 am
could u apply that same setup to rap vocals?
August 15th, 2010 at 3:34 am

@misterwillguitar With a choir if you don’t want the vocalists to be distinct, rather want to glue them together, I would balance them into a subgroup and then process them together.
August 15th, 2010 at 4:39 am
This is a great tutorial – may I ask, if you had a choir of voices would you do this process to each one or to a group channel after you balanced the vocals out?

Nice clean sound! The only thing that would have made this vid 1 notch better would be a bit more detail on use of the plug-ins. For example, Super Tap. You say it’s easy to “lock those delays to the tempo of the track”. While you’re there, why not show us exactly how that’s done?

Hi ,i was told that one of the reasons why big studios sounds are better is because they use expensive preamp to record.
