is a scandalllllllllll after six months of life the mixer is stopped, I discovered that Brazil has no warranty ( I PAY 4000 US DOLL) and I have to pay 700 reais to fix it.
Dont buy this mixer in Brasil

@presonusaudio Tried that with my motu. Works the same. I didn’t get that before going straight through the motu and not using the mixer. Hmm. . . frustrated really bad. Is it also possible to grab all volume levels live for each track by using the faders during the mix? Cause it doesn’t seem to be working. Obviously I’m a newbie at mixing

@rivermonsoon Hard to diagnose, unfortunately. That could be an issue with Digital Perfomer’s settings, which we aren’t equipped to offer support on. Can you try running the signal to something other to DP and seeing how it sounds? That would help to begin troubleshooting where the muffled sound is coming from.

This is great, but I try all this and my songs sound great monitoring them live and then when I do the mix down they get all muffled? Can anyone help with this? I use digital performer. I want to get the exact mix I have on my mixer into each of the 16tracks on capture with what has been eq’d on the mixer. And it’s not working. Maybe it’s one simple button.

Are you serious? Who cares. Show me the video’s here on youtube from Yamaha on the 01v.

    What about the Tascam DM?

OH. . . wait, they didn’t spend a dime either.

It says BLOG, not “promotional video up to garyspong’s standards”.

Yeah it does look great and i houses some great functions for the minimum investment. I’ve just found that I’ve come quite used to the internal mixer of Logic and enjoy the compressors and Fx. I also use some third party plug-ins etc. If i had 2 grand to just blow, i probably would get it.

i like the personal blog approach. . .
im not a big Presonus customer but i heard that their sales and customer service have a personal approach to them. . . Thumbs up!

how often do you get the Sales & Marketing Manager to answer your Questions on Youtube???

the StudioLive does not replace a control surface.

although its a bit much having both i guess. .

id rather have this on my desk though. . . does a hell of alot more than a control surface does.

    - 16ch 24bit, 96k Audio Interface
-Separate live mix for Talent monitoring
-dynamics and effects save CPU DSP. . .

and. . . around the same price as Mackie MCU Pro with extender (16 channel faders total)

and i personally think its sexier =)

I think its great that you guys are providing this in depth overview. I’ve been debating on this produced versus the Tascam DM series. Though I really like the Presonus tool better, this video actually has me thinking that a control surface may not be what I want. Maybe I’m just used to working within the Logic window with a mouse. Don’t worry Presonus, this just means that I’ll be investing in more FireStudio Interfaces to increase channels!

You know I’ve enjoyed this whole series and have learned a great deal. But what amazes me is the supremely lousy audio, especially as this is a product from Presonus. The whole point of your product is getting great sound, but you clearly didn’t spend a dime on the audio for these video tutorials. Your speaking voice goes up and down. Ever heard of lavalieres? or a boom mic? Great product, and if I were in the market I’d get one. But think about having an audio person there on the next shoot.
