I am liking Magix Samplitude Music Studio 15. It has the same audio engine as Samplitude Pro which is a $1000. program. It also has midi which Audacity and others do not. comes with a lot of instruments and effects. I believe its under $75.00

Goldwave! it’s brilliant, me & my band use it.. you can edit it to make it sound the best it possibly can.. You can download the program and have a free trial for a few weeks, it’s brilliant trust me and very easy to use.

Audacity is a good piece of freeware for home recording and mixing.
