You say limitless, however I’ve found digital to have plenty of limitations. That’s why I use outboard processing in combination with digital. As an engineer I very quickly discovered the limitations of digital software years ago. Digital isn’t passive in nature but analog is. I’ve also found digital very lacking in areas. Example I haven’t found de-essing for one in any software, a must for pro! Computer software is excellent for editing but analog processing is a must for pro recordings.
