I’m going to a Cirque du Soleil show soon and am going to record the music. I was wondering what recording device is small and can record up to 80 minutes of music in multiplle formats (MP3, WAV etc..) with decent quality. I’m looking for something not too expensive. Thanks.

Audio launches here usually mean the screening of 2-3 songs from a film and then talking, lots of talking followed finally by the release of the music. With Veppam- the team decided to play without any rules! The musicians, singers, technicians and actors of the film were invited for an unplugged/jam session at the office which was shot by Gautham himself. The one hour video included cosy tete a tete sessions with the actors and the music director followed by performances by the singers. Benny Dayal, Karthik, Suzanne, Apoorva, Shwetha brought so much energy into their performances, that everyone present was singing along! The original line up of Noiseworks was Jon Stevens (lead vocals), Stuart Fraser (guitar), Steve Balbi(bass), Justin Stanley (keyboards) and Kevin Nicol (drums). Considered to be one of Australia’s more successful rock bands of the late 1980s, their self-titled debut in 1987 had a series of successful singles, such as “No Lies,” “Take Me Back,” and “Welcome to the World.” The album went on to sell more than 200000 copies in Australia. The band’s second album, 1988’s Touch, proved to be another big hit going Top 10 on debut. The hit singles included “Touch,” “Voice Of Reason” and “In My Youth”. Directed by “Kimble Rendall” this is “Careless” by renowned Australian Folk/Rock act “Paul Kelly And The Messengers”. After a line up change, new producer (Scott Litt) and subsequent group renaming (previously “Paul Kelly And The Coloured Girls”), “Careless” was the second single from their 1989 album “So Much Water So Close To Home”. Rather surprisingly this beautiful song only reached #92 on the Australian Aria charts, although the album faired much better by peaking at #10 on the album charts. Produced & written by Richard himself the single reached as high as #12 on the US charts in that same year. Personally it was a track that I had not heard much of until working on the clip & remastering the audio, during which time I have grown to love the song and develop a deeper appreciation of this mans talents.
