i have a record label and i have an artist who i want to put on a tour with a well known band. i am thinking a partial local tour (i.e. if this band who is touring the country are doing 5 shows on the east coast, i want my band to play those east coast shows). i just want to know if anyone knows where to start looking, calling, asking. who should i talk to and what company should i be trying to contact?
my band just made a new song and one of the band members’ dad is helping us record it and put it on the internet and all that. would that make my band indie?
Say band “X” are with record label “Z”, and record label “Z” is being horrible, and ripping off band “X”, so band “X” leave record company “X” at the end of their recording contract.
Who Owns the Copyright (Legal Rights) to all the music produced during the record contract?
Band “X”
or
Record Company “Z”?
I will replace X and Z with the names, after a best answer is received.
CLUE:
Record Label “Z” = “SONY”

( could u at least get a work visa ?)
I need permission to use one song from the band The Calling and i need to know who to contact. If any one can figure this out please let me know.
