Are Apple Products really better than Windows based PCs for creating music and/or working with digital photos?

I’m nearing the point where I can justify the cost of a laptop for use in creating music (I sing, play guitar, bass and can push “start” on my drum machine) and in storing and working with digital photo’s.
Apple products are marketed as being better at these tasks than Windows based PC’s.
I’m interested in knowing what others have experienced.

I have an Kodak Easy share digital photo frame, not sure of the model, but my question in general is can I add music to the slide show and if I can, how? I know you might need to have the exact model, but I currently do not have that info.

I’m needing a digital camera for a few gigs/concerts I’m going to soon. I was wondering which camera would best suit it, and it not being overly expensive. It’s just for a few photographs of the bands playing ( blink 182 ;D ).

Ok so my question is, if i download say 4 songs of beatport (or another digital music site), ready to mix, record and upload to youtube. Would i get done in for copyright? Or would i be alright aslong as i put in the description something like; ‘these songs have been mixed for entertainment purposes only’? Help would be appreciated.

i have a usb flash drive that i want to use to put music and pictures on a digital photo frame (i want the music in the background)…i put the music and pics on the flash drive but when i plugged it into the frame, it didnt work. the pictures all showed up and everything, but the music wouldnt play…i pressed the button for it to play and it just said no music…help?!?

I want to organize my digital photos in the same way I do music with itunes (some of my photos on a network attached storage NAS (not windows).

At the moment I have a bunch of folders and it is hard to manage my favorites etc.
I like the way I can rate, tag, bulk update and create playlists in itunes, can I do similar with photos ? I tried media centre but wondered if there is something better ?

I use picassa to download my digital pics to. Does anyone know how to make a slide show out of my digital pics and add musical accompaniment? Is there better software or an online program to do this?
