When you look at a piece of music, do you automatically know what key you are in by the number of sharp or flat notes in the key signature? If you do not know all of the keys by heart, the Circle of Fifths is the fastest way to learn. This bonus video comes from the Easy Guitar and Easy Bass Guitar Theory DVDs by MJS Music & Entertainment. Although it is a bonus feature on these DVDs, the lesson is priceless for students of music wanting to memorize the key signatures. To date, this video by MJS Music is the best representation of the Circle of Fifths ever created. Visit www.mjspublications.com.

In this first lesson I cover a small essential part of music theory so people can carry it onto the keyboard. It’s just about some chords. The C chord, F chord and G chord. I then move over to the keyboard and teach aspects of these chords and how they are made, how they can be clarified and applied to the electronic functions of the keyboard. (I use a Clavinova CVP303 digital piano and a Yamaha PSR 202 and a Casio keylighting keyboard) Just stop and rewind if you misunderstand any points. Please feel free to comment and give me some feedback and suggestions. I will continue with part 2 soon. I hope you derive something useful from my lessons. I pitch them at all ages and abilities so, if you are fortunate enough to learn quick, please be patient for other people who may not. I create these videos for free so they can help people learn and enhance society. To poor people they are a huge help and I particularly create the lessons with poor people in mind but, they are for all to learn from.
