For more info, please visit Dubspot Blog – bit.ly In the latest edition of Ableton Live Production Tips with Steve Nalepa, Professor Nalepa shares mixing techniques using one of his current works in progress as the example. Ableton’s built-in Utility plug-in has a width setting that adjusts how wide that track stretches across the panoramic spectrum. Setting different width values for different tracks helps give differentiation and separation to the individual elements of your song, and it helps each part cut through so it can be heard clearly in the mix.

Jay Chou grew up in Linkou, Taipei County, Taiwan. Both his parents were secondary school teachers: his mother, Ye Hui Mei (traditional Chinese: 葉惠美; pinyin: Yè Huìměi), taught fine arts, while his father, Zhou Yao Zhong (Chinese: 周耀中; pinyin: Zhōu Yàozhōng), was a biomedical researcher. His mother noticed his sensitivity to music and took him to piano lessons at the age of three. During his childhood, he was fascinated with capturing sounds and songs with his tape recorder, which he carried everywhere with him. In the third grade, he became interested in music theory and also started cello lessons. He is an only child and loved to play piano, imitate TV actors, and perform magic tricks. His favorite composer was, and still is to this day, Chopin. His father left him when he was 14; as a result, he became reclusive and introverted. Although he had friends, he often preferred to be alone, listening to music, contemplating and daydreaming. At Tamkang Senior High School, he majored in piano and minored in cello. He showed talent for improvisation, became fond of pop music and began to write songs.

Produced by Polar Music in 1981, but never released, this was a pre-historic version of the later 1986 release “ABBA Live”. Today, “Eagle” and “The Name Of The Game” original undubbed live version remain unreleased (not on CD, DVD, VHS, TV Broadcasts…). The 1981 Polar Music recording remain the only way to ear those versions !

I am looking for an excellent quality portable digital recorder for live music, it has to be small enough to fit in a purse.

I don’t want any cheap or decent quality… very good quality recorder please.

Thank you so much for your help!
