Transit Records – Label Recording Music Production

I want to record tracks with a computer software program, but I am not very knowledgeable of every detail I need to input in the program. Do I need more plug-ins. I need step-by-step instructions. Are there any available?

I don’t want to spend hundreds of dollars for features that I’ll never use. What software really does Keep It Simple (Stupid) for songwriters who are not engineers?

I’ve searched on Amazon.com, but most of the programs that come up have reviews saying that sound quality was poor or that it messed up the user’s entire computer. What I need is a good quality, not (too) expensive product that I can make sound files from scratch and add effects with relative ease. Can anyone recommend anything?

I am a singer and play piano and sing. I currently have audacity but it is really crappy and I now have money to buy some software. Any suggestions for software, brands or stores for me?

(Please read, I’m not looking to rip music or record streaming music. I need something that I can use to record original music, vocals,guitar, drums etc..Im looking for some software that I can use to record ORIGINAL (not streaming)music. I used Audacity with my old pc with XP. Now I have Vista and Audacity does not work with it. Audacity is fairly easy to use, and I was looking for something else that is similar. Does anyone use any recording software that is compatible with Vista.

I’ve been playing guitar for 12 years now and all I have as a recorder is an old analog four-track. I’ve seen some sites where you can download some decent looking recording software. I’m just wanting to know if there’s any good ones out there. I’m wanting something that is midi capable I guess, cuz I want to throw some drum tracks in there. Help, please!?

I want something like Garageband that lets you have different instruments so you could record multiple instruments just by using a MIDI keyboard.

Hi.
I’m looking to buy some recording software to use with my imac.
I’ve already tried Ableton Live Lite.
I know theres Pro Tools LE and Apple Logic but i’m not sure of many others.
Just wanted to know peoples opinion of these softwares are and which one you might prefer and for what reason.
