itunes.apple.com on sale now www.wkode.com for more info on this awesome guitar app. I’m using the Distorted E-Guitar (sounds a bit like Slash’s guitar sound..hehehe) in Native Instruments’ Kontakt Player, a free version of their flagship software. The free version comes with over 30 professionally-sampled instruments that you can control with your iPhone Touch/iPad over WIFI. Move your hand position to fret 12, set Tap mode on, and then you’re ready to rock. You can download tabs for this song anywhere on the internet that offers tabs. I’m just showing you how to play the intro, which demonstrates just how playable this App really is. Coupled with MIDI, it’s the first of its class. If you play the guitar, have an iPhone/iTouch/iPad, and a computer, then this is a must-app. You would be foolish if you didn’t. You basically can control all your digital music instrument on the computer wirelessly on your i-device. We’re talking 1000’s of instruments. You will enjoy playing for hours/days/weeks/months/years. Just don’t blame me when you don’t get enough sleep. It also lets you capture all the notes you’re playing directly into Guitar Pro 6 and turn them instantly into sheet music and guitar tablature. it will save you 100’s if not 1000’s of hours of work. What took 10+ hours inputting notes one by one by hand now only takes 30 minutes. Just play and all your notes are in. Buying a hardware MIDI guitar will cost you around $1000 USD. This app does the same thing and in some …

The popular way to make a hardstyle/nu style melody these days. Excuse the use of Nexus at the end, I work in Cubase now but made it in FL so it’s easier for people to follow, and all my leads are in Cubase. THINGS TO NOTE AS YOU WATCH: 1. Use a keyboard or piano to compose your melody if possible. This is the best way as it is more fluid and you are more productive. 2. LEARN A SCALE! It takes 5 minutes to go to wikipedia and learn a scale and it’s respective chords, so please don’t just place random notes because it wont work. 3. Set your grid snap options to “1/3 step” (this can vary, but keep your bass notes in the same general area) 4. Half/whole steps up/down. Notice that the first 2 notes are D, then when the bassline changes to Bflat the high notes start on E? This is done to create that harmonic kind of sound hardstyle melodies have. Same with the 3rd bar bassline going down just one from Bflat to A. Get some midis from people like Headhunterz/Noisecontrollers/Toneshifterz and analyse where they make use of this. 5. Play around till something seems right. It might take a while, but you’ll be more pleased with the results than if you simply slapped something together.
More info – bit.ly No Canned Loops for you!!! In this brand new tutorial, Native Instruments product specialist, producer, DJ and Dubspot Instructor, Matt Cellitti returns to answer a frequently asked question: How to incorporate Maschine audio loops and samples into a Traktor DJ set. Cellitti explains and demonstrates how you can create Maschine drum patterns and loops and add them to your Traktor Pro 2 set by syncing the tempos and dragging and dropping Maschine patterns into Traktor’s sample decks. This technique is the easiest way add customized audio loops, samples, sounds and additional ingredients to create live remixes on the fly.
